Meet the Best Practice Software Leadership Team

Craig is an accomplished Australasian Health IT and governance leader, having served as Chair, Non-Executive Director, Committee Member, and Advocate on various hospital, health service, medical college, and community service boards and committees. Craig has served in a variety of roles at Best Practice, including General Manager, Chief Corporate & Legal Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and now our group Chief Executive. Craig also chairs our Executive Cabinet, Leadership Council, Clinical Senate, and Risk & Assurance Committees. He is passionate about our business, customers, team, and vendors, supports collaborative community partnerships throughout Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, and is working to continue shaping Best Practice as an active and engaged medical software leader.

Blake acts as our chief customer advocate, directing our critical customer-facing teams to provide quality application support, sales and licensing, key account management, and marketing and communication functions. Blake has worked in senior commercial and relationship management roles before and during his tenure with Best Practice and is closely connected to our customers and the complexities of their medical practice environment.

Cameron is responsible for managing executive transformational projects across our group and the development and implementation of our strategic planning and business optimisation focus. Cameron is a seasoned member of the Best Practice team, having worked in our Human Resources team and then becoming Chief Operating Officer. He brings prime career experience in account management and customer service coordination, leading business development and account management solutions across a variety of sectors and managing complex business change projects.

David is executive leader of our group finance, reporting, and business performance function, bringing to the role over 25 years’ experience in Finance-related sectors. David has worked for more than a decade at a major fund advisory firm, where he has held roles such as Project Manager, Manager Financial Services, and most recently the roles of CFO, Company Secretary and GM Operational Services.

Jessica is executive leader of our product, platform, partnerships, and technology suite, and plays a pivotal role in leading our digital health strategy across nations. As a well-respected leader in the Australasian digital health field, her 15 years of experience across primary healthcare has made her a strong customer advocate, ensuring that our medical software products and technologies are designed and delivered with customers always front of mind. With more than a decade of experience leading customer-and-vendor-facing operations within the Best Practice Software group, Jessica is a seasoned e-health technologist, passionate about designing and engineering products and services that support the customer / patient / clinician experience.

Alan directs our human resource management support services across our group, providing specialist HR advice and counsel to organisational leaders. Alan is a passionate advocate for our values and actively supports our mission to help build a culture people love.

Bec directs our commercial partnerships function by monitoring, managing, and engaging our government and industry partners. Bec is extensively involved in the Australasian e-health community and regularly engaged in emerging healthcare innovation.

Chris develops and directs various customer support plans, strategies, and initiatives designed to ensure quality user support services remain an integral pillar of Best Practice’s competitive advantage as an Australasian medical software leader.

David directs our organisational product strategy and the development and management of complex product and enterprise architecture. David is an active and respected leader in e-health technology and drives his team to supporting Best Practice’s exciting future roadmap.

Joel manages our technical partnership function and leads the planning, design, and implementation of commercial, government, and third-party integration requirements. Joel’s team is closely aligned with current and future e-health initiatives across Australasia.

Jordan directs our organisational business systems, technologies, and IT infrastructure, driving his team to support our global operations with various IT strategies and technologies designed to seamlessly connect Best Practice with its users and stakeholders.

Mel directs our organisational marketing, training, and events function, and shares a passionate interest with her customer engagement team in the value of positive and meaningful customer experience as one of our senior customer advocates.

Natalie directs our financial management, accounting, treasury, and business reporting functions, leading a highly experienced team of finance professionals closely engaged with our various product, planning, and support leaders across Australasia.

Rebecca directs the critical product quality function within Best Practice and is a key driver to help ensure an important and valued culture of standards, policies, and actions support the in-field quality and reliability of our products and support services.

Rubie directs product planning and delivery across our organisation, including implementation of our product vision and the design and development of various technical solutions within our products to help meet our vision to connect communities with care.

Russell manages our group software support service frontline teams, including those in our various contact centre operations across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand and our highly experienced escalated technical support functions.

Sean directs our information security strategy and leads cyber security stewardship and compliance across our global group. Sean is a respected information security executive leader and supports his team to uphold our strict data and business protection regimes.
