Program Updates
Below is a list of supported Program Updates. These updates may be removed over time depending on versions that meet industry requirements. While these are updates to the software, these updates are to be applied to an existing installed version. An ISO for the base install can be provided at request from Bp Support.
Please refer to the Bp Premier Oxford Revision 1 Release Notes for a full list of changes and enhancements within this version.
You must have the April 2026 data update or later installed before you upgrade to 1.14.0.1114.
- Back up your Bp Premier database before running the upgrade.
- Synchronise all workstations in remote database mode with the Bp Premier server before you upgrade.
- Download and run the latest Drug Update on your Bp Premier server computer.
- Log all users out of the server and all clients before you upgrade.
- Download and run the 1.14.0.1114 update on your server and all client workstations, including devices used in and out of the clinic.
- Log back in to Bp Premier and resume use.

Utilities
Utilities may be required at the request of Bp Support to resolve issues or may need to be applied for specific reasons.
The Setup Third Party Integrations window has been transitioned to a standalone utility in Spectra SP1 Revision 3. This change allows practices to manage integrations with third parties more efficiently and with greater visibility.
For practices running an older version of Bp Premier, this utility needs to be downloaded separately. Further information can be found on our Knowledge Base.

The TX Control is required and used by Bp for areas such as Prescriptions, Todays Notes, and Word Processor. This utility has been expanded in its functionality and user experience allowing the re-installation, file registration and logging to solve some support related issues.
IMPORTANT If Bp Premier is installed in a Terminal Server or Citrix environment, perform outside of normal practice hours, on the Terminal or Citrix Server, and ensure that there are no active sessions or user profiles connected.

Process for using LogMeIn with Bp Support:
- Select the link below
- Bp Support will provide the required code verbally over the support call
- Enter the code and Start Download
- Small application downloads to your computer to start the support session
- After you’ve opened the application, you will be presented with an agreement.
- Scroll through the agreement and click ‘I Agree’ at the bottom
- During the session, the Technician could be able to fully control your computer.

The purpose of this utility is to update the PRODA Transport Layer Security (TLS) version to ensure uninterrupted access to Health Identifier (HI) verification, Medicare Web Services and PRODA B2B devices. Without this update, errors will occur when attempting to access some services.

Action required:
The utility must be run by a user with Administrator access on the Bp Premier database server and all client workstations. After successful installation, close and reopen Bp Premier for the update to be effective.

Data Updates
Best Practice Software recommends users update their version of Bp Premier with the latest data, featuring the most up to date PBS, MIMS drug database, medication, template and fee data.
To determine the last update that has been installed: Open Bp Premier > Click the Help menu > Select About > Check Last Drug Update.
Size of 109 MB, for servers running Bp 1.9.0.848 or higher that have not installed the February 2026 Data Update. The Comprehensive update requires the February 2026 Data Update to be installed as a minimum prerequisite. If your server has a Data Update older than February 2026 installed, please download, and install the “February 2026 Data Update” first before applying this update.
