We all know the importance of having strong cybersecurity protocols and safeguards in place in the industry of digital healthcare, and the age of technology. Keeping your practice’s, and your patients’ data protected is a top priority. The way that your practice connects to Bp Partner Network integrations is changing in collaboration with Halo Connect.

What is Halo Connect?
Halo Connect is a secure, cloud ready platform that allows Bp Partners to interact with Bp Premier when you approve access for their integration. It removes the need for you to install a connector service for every Bp Partner integration onto your practice server.

Since 2023, the Halo Link service is automatically installed alongside Bp Premier and is updated as part of your monthly Data Updates.

What does Halo Connect mean for my practice?
Over the last two years, all Bp Partners have been working to transition their software to connect to your practice via Halo Connect. From 1st January 2026, Halo Connect will be the only method for Partners to connect to your practice.

During this transition, most Partners will have two entries in the Setup third-party integrations window within Bp Premier, one for the legacy integration method and a new one for integration via Halo, which will have a label of ‘(via Halo Connect) ’. To transition to a Partner’s Halo connected product, you will need to enable the integration that contains the ‘(via Halo Connect) ’ label.

In addition to the Bp Premier configuration, some Partners may have other steps required for you to complete the transition and should be in touch to guide you through these steps. If you have integrators who you have not heard from, we suggest reaching out to them to make sure there are no disruptions to your integrated third-party products.

New security features – Pairing Code for new Partner integrations
A new Pairing Code feature for practice verification has been released with Spectra SP1 Revision 3, allowing improved security when onboarding a new third-party product. This feature introduces an extra security step where a unique Pairing Code is generated for your practice which you will provide to a new Partner during your first connection to their software.

If you haven’t yet installed Spectra SP1 Revision 3, a standalone utility of the configuration screen is available, compatible with Orchid SP2 and later versions. This can be downloaded from the Bp website. Pairing Codes will be mandatory for Partners to implement by 1st February 2026 but may be required earlier then that if you onboard a partner that has already completed this work.
